The story behind the livery
In 1984, British Airways introduced its new Landor livery — a refined, confident redesign that replaced the original Negus & Negus scheme and signalled the airline's transformation into a newly privatised, commercially focused carrier. The HS-748 continued to serve BA's Highland and Island routes in Scotland and regional UK connections throughout this period, wearing the new livery on some of the most scenic and operationally challenging routes in British aviation. The 1984 scheme is widely regarded as one of British Airways' finest ever designs, and seeing it applied to the compact turboprop makes for a striking and historically authentic model.
This is the second of three British Airways HS-748 liveries in the Memodec collection, bridging the gap between the original 1976 scheme and the final 1986 variant.
