Discover the origins of one of Asia's great airlines with this historically accurate decal set for the Convair CV-440 in the rare All Nippon Airways ANA 1960 livery.
All Nippon Airways was founded in 1952 from the merger of two small Japanese carriers, and by 1960 was still a young, domestically-focused airline finding its place in postwar Japan's rapidly modernizing society. Flying the Convair CV-440 on routes connecting Japan's major cities, ANA at this time bore little resemblance to the global carrier it would become — making this early livery a fascinating and rarely documented chapter in Japanese aviation history. The 1960 scheme is virtually impossible to find in decal form anywhere else, making it a genuine rarity for collectors of Asian airline heritage.
This decal set faithfully reproduces the complete 1960 ANA livery for the Convair CV-440: fuselage titles, early ANA markings, registration numbers, and full window lines — all researched from historical photographic references.
What's included:
- Full livery decals for the Convair CV-440 (All Nippon Airways ANA 1960)
- Fuselage titles, early ANA markings, and registration numbers
- Available in scales: 1/144, 1/72
Decal quality: Printed using high-resolution digital printing technology, delivering sharp edges, accurate colors, and excellent durability. White areas are fully opaque — safe for use on both light and dark painted surfaces.
Compatible model kits: Suitable for 1/144–1/72 scale Convair CV-440 variants from major manufacturers.

Thank you for taking the time to look at Japanese airlines of the 1960s.
The kanji characters for "All Nippon Airways" are generally accurate, and the airline's unique font is also accurate.
Furthermore, the way the names were written from nose to tail on both the starboard and port sides is accurate.
I think the font for the registration numbers starting with "JA" should be matched to the DC-3 registration numbers.
I hope you will release decals for the Viscount 700, Nord 262, De Havilland Heron, and De Havilland Dove.
